Ventura County Multiple DUI Defense Attorney

A first DUI conviction can carry a sentence of 6-month suspended license, 96 hours to 6 months in jail, up to $1800 in fines and fees and 1 to 5 years probation. 

The second DUI conviction within 10 years of the first carries a 2-year license suspension, 96 hours to a year jail time, up to $2800 in fines and fees and 3-5 years of probation. 

A third conviction within 10 years of previous charges can result in up to 3 years suspended license, $2800 in fines and fees and 3 years in prison. 

A felony DUI can be levied against you for a fourth DUI conviction within 10 years of previous convictions.  This carries a 4-year or even permanent license suspension and up to 3 years in state prison. 

There are other penalties associated with multiple DUI offenses such as mandatory drug or alcohol counseling, required installation of an ignition interlock device on your car which requires the driver to use the connected breathalyzer device before the car can be started.  These are all very serious charges and you shouldn't go it alone.
